ZenFi’s fiber network in NJ and NYC spans over 1100 routes and miles. It connects to 45 edge data centers in the area. ZenFi also has over 2300 wireless nods installed, with another 7,000 nodes under contract.

1. Zenfi’s fronthauls

 Zen has built its fiber network system to support the developing nature of Cloud RAN (CRAN) across its fiber footprint. Our purpose-built front haul fiber network serves as the core of this system. Zen runs a network with custom-built integrated fiber and cables and ducts, which allows our network team to support the fragmentation of a fiber network. 

Our integrated cable and duct assembly has been structured with high capacity front haul fiber trunks, which emanate from our colocation facilities. Our accessible fiber branches now serve as a connection hubs for these facilities. 

The result is high capacity and high accessibility of fiber networks, which can be leveraged at every utility hole or pole top the network traverses. In a world where internet connectivity has evolved to 4G and 5G networks, fiber networks must be built to support the edge.
